The Adventure of the annoying rooster

"I'm gonna find the rooster, and kill it!" - Ashalee

*we all laugh about Nicole's hair*
"I have the worst hair days here!" - Nicole
"My hair's frizzy and it's not even that curly." - Ashalee
"My hair's not curly.  Because it's straight." - Sarah

"We go home in 23 days." - Emma
"Ohhhh, don't say that!" - Sarah
"Sarah, we've only been here one day!!" - Emma

"I wanna facebook Brock." - Nicole
"Me too.  But not Brock." - Ashalee
"I miss people...well Brock." - Nicole
"Yeah, but not Brock." - Ashalee

"We're all going to have really big abs." - Ashalee
(from laughing so much!)

Yesterday, Nicole was sitting on a mat playing with a little girl on the balcony.  She stood up and said "Man, my legs are really sweaty here".  We looked and saw a large wet spot on one side of her shorts.  Yup, her little baby peed and Nicole was sitting in it.  Judging by today's events, we think that things like this will become a regular occurance for her.

While we were washing dishes after supper yesterday, Emma pointed out that a couple of moths had just flown out of Nicole's hair.  (see above 'hair' conversation)

Nicole's the only person in Haiti who has 10  - -
Okay, I just have to interrupt this story to say that we just saw a dead lizard stuck in the light fixture!!

Nicole is the only person in Haiti who has 10 blankets on her bed because she's cold.  (okay only 4 and a sheet)

Nicole's baby boy fell asleep in her arms today.  So Cute!!

Sarah was teaching her baby how to walk...he fell down the stairs.  Okay actually he knows how to walk, but he lost his footing today and fell down a couple stairs.  He was pretty upset but he's smiling now!

A few of the babies that Sarah and Janaya watch are almost as klutzy as they are.  A couple of them fell and/or bonked their heads today.

One of the little boys who Janaya gets to spend time with threw a fit today because he didn't want her to leave. 

One of Ashalee's kids is sick.  Yesterday she puked 5 times!  Today she was kicking one of Nicole's girls in the face...although we don't think that it was on purpose!
Another one smelled bad because he had some puke on his shirt.  Ashalee greeted him: "You kinda smell bad."

Emma's children love to drool and play in drool and fall asleep in drool.  She likes to come up with endearing nicknames...  
One of her little boys only smiles if he's "jolly-jumping" to Party Rock Anthem (doo doo doo doo doodoo doo) as sung by our very own, Emma Murray. 

So far we're loving it.  Great laughs and so many cute memories!
Thank you for your prayer.  One request we have is prayer for a premature little boy who is now 15 months old and only weighs 8 pounds.  He's getting special care right now and we really hope that he grows up strong!
