We got here, yay!

After 19 hours, four flights, and some insane driving, we have made it to God's Littlest Angels in Petionville Haiti.
We had a hard time sleeping on the planes, so when we arrived in L.A. last night at 7:30..."We're in LA!  I touched a pole, in LA!  I touched a wall, in LA!  Palm Trees, in LA!  I'm outside, in LA!  I'm on an escalator, in LA!  I'm lying on the ground, in LA!"  You get the picture.  Sadly we did not see any celebrities...in LA!  However, in both San Francisco and L.A. some of us found keychains to remember our trip by.  After flying through the night, we landed in Miami with only 25 minutes to get onto our next and final flight to Port-au-Prince...we had to run.  Once we got to the section of hallway where we could see our gate, we saw terminal hosts waving to us and calling for us to hurry...we had to run faster!  We are very thankful that they knew that we were coming and held the flight for us, even though they laughed at Sarah as she Terry-Foxed it because of her injured knee.  (hint: pray for her)
When we finally arrived in Haiti, we were serenaded by a Western Union band as we entered the immigration and baggage centre.  It was crazy, busy and confusing in there.  The airport is like a warehouse building and there are many workers vying for your money in exchange for retrieving your bags.  We were a bit overwhelmed.  Thankfully we found all of our bags, got through customs smoothly and were taken to our vehicle by a very helpful man.
Once we got to the orphanage we got a run-down of our schedule, a tour of the building, and were introduced to some of the children that we'll be spending time with while we're here.  We have each been assigned to four babies.  We are to spend a couple of hours every day with each of them one-on-one.  It's going to be fun to love these kids by cuddling, playing games, doing puzzles, reading books, going for walks, playing in the inflatable pool, singing, and even playing in the astro-jump castle!
It's been a long couple of days filled with a lot of information, but it's great to be here.  We are really excited to see what God is already doing in this place and what he will do while we're here.  Now we're sitting in our living room about to watch a movie.  Team bonding!
